Community Science Volunteer days

Big or small, any contribution of your help is valuable. Our community science volunteering activities enable you to learn about carbon sequestration and to get involved in tagging and cataloguing trees, and recording data for environmental scientists. All our community science events require you to sign up in advance. To be notified automatically about community science opportunities, please sign up here.

Before you come on site

A visual guide to tree tagging

Please read the guide to tree tagging and read in advance. We will give you full training on site, but reading in advance will help with some key skills, such as measuring using a digital caliper and tree classification. You do not need to bring a copy of this guide - we will provide all equipment you need onsite, except for your smartphone.
